It’s been a while since I’ve been to Prague, but since I’m in Germany again I started thinking about how beautiful this city is. I knew I wanted to see Prague from the moment I arrived in Germany as an Army Specialist in 2007. When I finally traveled to Prague a year later, the city left an impression on me that I will never forget. Prague Castle, seen above in the background, is the star of the city. Founded in the ninth century, it is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest ancient castle in the world. There is a long ancient history behind Prague Castle, but sometimes it’s time to just take a break from the history lesson and stand back and admire the beauty.
Hi, I'm Jen. Welcome to my blog. My life so far: History degree, Army Veteran, History & English Teacher, Certified Yoga Instructor, graduate student, coffee lover, (do I really have to grind my own beans?) and part-time nomad. I'm just getting started. There will always be something new to learn, see, or explore. Last year we left our jobs, downsized, put everything into storage and went to Mexico for the summer. Mexico was awesome, but I missed teaching and having a little place to call home. The solution? Moving to Arizona. Every day here feels like a vacation. It's impossible to run out of things to do. Arizona has given me the best of both worlds; a career teaching history, a little place to call home, and unlimited adventures. Arizona is a great state to live in if you like history and travel. Let's see what's out there!
